“1949 Willys Jeep this is a good solid body and frame axles and roll bar. No engine, transmission or transfer case. I do have the drive lines, it has a GM steering box and pump, engine mounts ect… This has been sitting in storage for many years but still no time for the project.”

    Dennis,

I’ll keep an eye out for roll cages for the low hood flat fenders. They do pop up from time to time in the Seattle/Portland area (pretty common around here) and I don’t always list them.

The downside for that specific style where the bars between the front and rear loops aren’t mounted out to the edge of the curves is that if you run really tight trails in the PNW (the Manashtash Ridge trail in the Cascades comes to mind), trees can actually get caught in between the front and rear loops. Of course, finding a trail that tight doesn’t happen too often, but when it does you’ll be cursing yourself 🙂

Thanks, Dave. Been “looking” lightly. Don’t really need one as I don’t plan to wheel my Willys. It would help for when I want to put a bikini top on in the spring.

There is a guy about 20 minutes away that has a couple of flat fenders parked in the drive that have not moved in a while. One does have a roll bar like this one, but all the “No trespassing” sighs worry me ( That and it does not look like anyone lives there.)

Yeah, then that type of cage would work fine. Regarding the no trespassing signs, I can’t blame you for not running up to the front door and knocking 🙂
