UPDATE: **SOLD** For $3950 on eBay.
This ex-American Legion FC sports a rear PTO. It does need some work.
“Here’s a very hard to find FC-150. Used as a parade vehicle by the American Legion years ago. It was towed from event to event and the tow bar comes with it for easy pick up. Very cool looking paint job. Hurricane 4 cylinder engine. Comes with white spoke wheels and original rims with tires. PTO in rear! The photos show the condition of the FC-150. Having owned a couple of these it’s hard to find one with such a clean undercarriage. It’s been off the road for several years so it will need some work to be driver.
I’m guessing the restoration was done decades ago so the exterior and interior will need some work to bring it back to nice. The interior looks pretty good, but the carpet is faded. There is a crack in the driver’s side window. There is old gas in the tank. I started the hurricane 4 cylinder this spring and it ran good without unusual noises but I’m sure the carb needs to be gone through. Unfortunately, the solder joints on the radiator gave out and the fan pulled the radiator into the blades of the fan causing the radiator to leak. I pulled the radiator and it’s included. I did not check any of the lights or the PTO. I was not able to drive the Jeep, but it rolls freely and appears to shift through all gears. The tires have good tread and hold air, but are weather checked due to age.
I’m a little reluctant to sell this project, but have another project coming and I just don’t have the room or time for two. These are highly desirable, collectible and can sell in the mid teens when restored. Bear in mind, I am selling this “as is” and as a project. It tows like a dream so all you need is a 2″ ball to get her home.”
Is this fc still available?
I just checked and this sold on eBay for $3950. I’ve updated the post.
