UPDATE: **SOLD**
It includes an overdrive.
“To the best of my knowledge this is a 1947 Jeep CJ2A. Other than a couple very small spots
it is rust free. This is being sold for parts only as there is no title or paperwork. It had been sitting
in a storage lots for over 30 years. It is missing the driver fender and other small items so look
closely at the pictures because what you see is what you get. The transmission/transfer case and
mount is included. Also is the adapter to mount it to a FORD smallblock such as a 289 or 302.
The frame looks fine and also included is the back half of another CJ2A with the complete rear
axle and fuel tank. The tires are completely shot but it has 4 nice matching wide rims.
The steering is not hooked up and ther body is not bolted to the frame….”
So that IS an overdrive on that trans/transfer case combo? I also like the front hub locks. This is too close to my house NOT to at least check it out. But I’m not sure I see more than $500-$600 in value here. Anyone else want to “guesstimate” a fair price (in case I get too tempted to pass this up)???
Yes, that’s an overdrive on the back of the transfer case. Whether it is any good is less known. If the OD has the shifter mechanism that would be good.
For you, I’d say the worth is in the $600 ballpark. For someone who needs that body (which looks good in the photos) I’d say the value is higher. This solids rims are popular with some folks also.
i would give 600 for tub contact me 231 878 3550
Hi Craig,
It looks like this sold. If it happens to reappear, I’ll drop you a note.
