Looks like a stainless body and interior panels and front fenders, but with a painted high hood and dash? Looks pretty nice: cool vintage radio 🙂
Neat !!
That is without doubt a hand made body. Looks like hammertone (pebble) metal. I doubt that it’s stainless.
The tailgate is obviously not factory or even aftermarket. There is a “valance” below the tailgate, covering the rear crossmember. The drawbar bolts through that “valance” into the hidden crossmember.
The fenders are obviously not factory or aftermarket. The folds (bends) in the metal are not rounded, but look to have been formed over a sharp, square edge.
The interior deck and floor are much different that factory.
It appears to be a very well made copy but there’s no way on this earth that it’s worth $13k.
Somebody put a mountain of work into making it, but why? As a collector’s item, it’s worthless since it’s simply not even close to factory. As a novelty, it’s worth what any old, well maintained vehicle would be worth just to drive around for fun.
And notice – only two bids, one of which was declined and the other expired. Looks like a case of a dealer that thinks way too highly of itself.
