UPDATE: Still Available
(08/07/2014) It still needs a assembly.
“1951 willys cj3a I have been restoring. Has brand new paint on an all original mint steel body. No bondo. Body and paint done by Brian’s 4wd in Ct. Chassis and driveline are 100%. Pto, warn overdrive. Lots invested. Needs final assembly. Illness forces sale. I cannot finish this so it must go. It is a once in a lifetime find. If this is what you are into….you found her… Chris
It was painted Luzon red as it was from factory. Rare 15″ wheel option. Been on my block since it was new.”
Looks like nice work from the pictures but that is a huge asking price when the whole jeep still needs to be built. It would be nice to see some engine, drivetrain, wheels, seats, smalls, ect to see the quality of them.
the price is a joke. maybe a grand
Well, if you are truly interested, he has the contact info in the ad. A good paint job from a real paint and body shop runs $5,000 to $7000 now. From the few pics I see, it looks like everything so far has been done correctly. I would call him if you are interested and find out what is in the build. I would guess there is more than $15000 invested already by this owner. I have just completed a full resto on one, and I know how much money goes into them. Its more than I would bet that bob has to spend on one.
Just to be clear, that Bob ^^^^^, is not the original Bob, which is me.
