2014-winthrop-to-newport-tripFor our anniversary (which is today) we are taking a short trip through northeastern Washington. Above is an approximate map of our trip. We head to Winthrop today, then will make our way through some forest service roads before taking backroads to Oroville. Then we plan to hang as far north as we can before we drop down to Newport (or somewhere close to that).

Congratulations on your Anniversary! Hope your trip is a pleasant and scenic one!

May your anniversary trip be as hot as the Forest fires you’ll be dodging in Eastern Washington. =)

    Happy Anniversary

Are you going to be at the NWFCGT in Tacoma, by the Weekend?

Happy trails on your anniversary journey, Dave and Ann. And while your near Spokane, I found some Jeep parts I really need, can you…… Never mind. Enjoy yourselves, and take a break from Willys and Jeeps on your special day!

Thanks everyone! Ann’s asleep after a day of anniversering. So, I’ve snuck onto the computer . . .

Jesse: I don’t think we’ll have time to get over to Tacoma this year. We are winding our way the other direction. We likely won’t return to Pasco before Saturday.

Steve: As long as they are small parts I’m game for anything!

Mitch: The damage here is so close to hwy 20 that we got a close up view of the destruction. Winthrop (where we are tonight) was without power for 8 days. It really disrupted their tourism, which had been really good up to that point. I have found a route on FS 73 that goes north out of Winthrop, circumvents the burned areas and then drops into Conconully State Park. Looks like it will be a great drive Tuesday morning πŸ™‚

Yes, I was just being ridiculous. I know you would always help out a fellow Jeeper in need, even on your anniversary. I think it’s awesome that you two do so well traveling together. And I will look forward to the photos of the Willys you discover along the way.
