This is a mix of 2A and MB parts.
“1948 Willys CJ2A. It was being done up to model a WWII Willys MB. It has a rebuilt T90 transmission and CJ2A engine but the tub is a MB tub. The tires are M151 tires. The motor is in great condition. The jeep did run and drive but the starter recently burned out. Has a brand new canvas top and original WWII MB grille . I was trying to convert this over to look like the WWII MB.
I don’t have anymore time to dedicate to the project so I am going to sell it. If you have any questions, please contact me. $6,000 OBO”
That’s not quite an “original world war two grill” in it…….. -RG
Maybe he meant “windshield” rather than “grille”. Windscreen and right front fender look MB. Grille looks M38… although I thought those were hinged at the bottom.
Joe, yes M-38 grilles were hinged at the bottom, as were the very early M-38A1 grilles.
Both fenders are MB judging by the brackets for the headlight hinges……. -RG
