4WD doesn’t operate. It’s listed as a M-38A1.

Was there a military designation for the CJ3B (and Mitsubishi’s) used by the Military?
That’s a bit complicated. There’s the M-606 designation for the CJ-3Bs that were slightly militarized (blackout lights for example). However, the military also used plain CJ-3Bs. In Asia Mitsubishi CJ3B-J4 and CJ3B-J4Cs were used.
