It’s a project.

“I was going to restore a 1946 Willy’s CJ2A (VEC). I have a very decent body, clean title and a pile of parts that go with it. My intentions were to restore this and it kills me to let this go but medical bills say otherwise.
-CLEAN INDIANA TITLE
-For 1946 I would say that it has a great body which needs very simple work.
-Owned in Indiana since it was new in 1946.
-From what I was told it has the following original parts.
-Transmission & transfer case that still shift beautifully.
-Radiator
-Steering wheel
-Accessory hitch
-Many linkages & bezels
-Two military wheels & tires
-horn
-a lot of trim
-whole box of miscellaneous items
Newer parts with it or on it
-superlift springs for the suspension/frame under it now
-extra axle, ford I believe
-top frame bars
-extra horn, non willys
-ford axle under it
-2.9L V6 Ford engine in it, turns over
-Unknown ford transmission in it now
-non matching willy’s rim, very rusty
The bad…
-Frame is more than likely toast, simple and cheap to build if you know how to weld
-have bezels but no headlights themselves
-original engine is long gone
-no interior parts
The story I was given by the man I got it from goes like this.
“It was bought new by Camp Atterbury in 1946 as a civilian jeep for officers to drive on base. They owned it for a number of years and then sold it to a farmer in southern Indiana. He had it for around 20 some years and drove it for a long time until I pulled it out of his hog field.”
The previous owner states he worked like crazy to get the title from Camp Atterbury and he was successful. I have a clean 1946 title sitting in my safe currently. His intentions were to restore as well but couldn’t get around to it.
Looking to get rid of this, open to trades must be 1960’s muscle car body. Preferably cash is king! Make me an offer I want it gone by Sunday to a good home. Not opposed to selling other items and keeping this if the offers are not what I am looking for with this rare CJ2A.”
