Buying Tips
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Do those seat frames fold forward? This is remarkably in tact for so much rust. Could it all just be surface rust? Makes for a cool look… might just want to restore all the mechanicals and clear coat the body finish (or not). Of course it’s not ALL original: e.g. the bumper, starter relay, and top bows, to name a few details.
Maybe it’s just a funky color that is similar to rust? Pics are odd.
I am going to look at it next week. I am hoping it is a mixture or paint/surface rust. I’ll let you know what I find out.
It is coming home with me. It was actually brown paint. Tub is in okay shape, sides were solid but floorboard will need some work. I think it is a 45 but will know more when I get it home and can look at it in better light.
