UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,500.
(04/26/2014) This is a one-of-a-kind wagon.
“1950 Willys body, 1 ton chevy frame, 1949 Chrysler straight 8 engine and trans. Front disc breaks, New wheels and tires, Runs and drives great, clear Blue title. $12,500 O.B.O. open to trades. text ONLY please.”
Pity theres no photos of what the hood/side panels look like.
I’m sure the builder didn’t make side panels for this rat rod. My neighbor has a ’53 Pontiac Straight-8 I could have, but I don’t know what I’d put it in. This example talks me out of putting one in a wagon. Yuk, way too long in front!
**Steve E.**
grand paw munster would look good driving around in that. with lilly and eddy in the back seat.
not going to offer an opinion on the “overall”, but looks like some great work on the lengthened hood and fitment to the radiator cowl/housing. “credit where it’s due”
A straight 8 is a pretty cool motor, but huge, long beast. I think they are better left where they belong.
As a Jeep rat rod, this is one of the more practical ones…it has a roof, windows and you can actually get in it. Might even make a great tow vehicle…I am sure that straight 8 has some pull. I like it.
