“U. S. Army Signal Corps. Jeep Soldiers Out For Refreshments.”
Original Post February 20, 2014:
“You are bidding on a vintage 1943 photo postcard of a Jeep, soldiers and a lady. The card reads, Photo by U S Army Signal Corps. The card is postmarked Camp Pickett, VA 1943. The card is in very good condition.”
Gotta love the prices on the food.
I think it’s great that postage was free from Camp Pickett. And today the postage is cheap to send care packages to our troops overseas. A friend of mine is devoted to sending greeting cards and boxes of “goodies” to various troops overseas. She sets out a table at various community events and kids draw pictures and sign cards. Many people give donations and she sends movies, magazines and candy, all the little things they can’t get over there. And she doesn’t know any of them personally. She’s awesome! All the local Vets love her.
I don’t know how the postman could ever read the writing on that postcard.

Did the left front tire throw the tread, or is that a street tread?
David … lol, I hadn’t noticed that. Must be a spare?
