UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
Here’s an unusual photo.
“This is an original 5×7 black and white photo. Showing an Army Jeep pulling an anti-aircraft gun behind it in a parade. My guess would be late 1940’s by the looks of the cars in the back ground. Great Vintage photo to look at!
Not sure of the exact time frame or location. The back of the photo is stamped with
Photo by Bill Shoopman, Odessa Texas”
Those NDT tires seem to be oversize, front one might be a recap?
also , interesting trailer tires and early type hi-lift jack on trailer tongue. I tried to enlarge photos to read car license plates, but could not make out year.
Tires look like 7.50×16’s, of course everything is bigger is Texas isn’t it?
I bought this photo, much better in person than the scan, the license plates in the photo are dated 1947.
I tried to locate the hood number online using the hood number, but didn’t have any success.
Is there a place where the existing hood numbers of the surviving WWII jeeps have been compiled?
