It just underwent a mechanical restoration locally.
Have receipts. Original 4 cyclinder with overdrive, runs
like a top. Would consider trade for ’57 T-bird or early Bronco
up or down. Fresh AZ title. If it’s not in Sun City West it’s stored
in El Mirage.”
Is that hood slightly open or is the factory fit that bad, looks closed at the top of the grill.
Unless he’s got a huge weather strip on top of the grill, I’d say the hood wasn’t closed all the way.
I just looked at more CL photos, the hood catch is tight, so I think the hood is bent. These hoods always rattle around because the side catches weren’t installed at the factory, but I’ve never seen one not close like this.

I have not seen this Jeepster at any of the recent shows where I attend, so it is probably a recent transplant! My Jeepster has a hood that fits better than this one, with an even linge separating the fender from the hood on both sides, and most of them fit like mine. This one is way worse. The rear of the hood is about 1/4 inch too low as well. A good body man might be able to tweak it so it fits better. No mention of the fact it is now 12 volt and has a Solex carb on it, which makes the factory air cleaner not fit well either. Other than that, a nice Jeepster. The price is reasonable.
