This looks like a real nice build.
“406 sbc, MSD distributor and ignition box, TH400 3000 stall converter, 4.27 gears, 11,000 miles on build. Custom hand built rear bumper, heater is integrated with roll cage for defrosting windshield, trans cooler mounted on frame underneath. 33×12.50×15 Cooper Discoverer tires mounted on Eagle alloys. Dana 44/30 differentials, Rancho steering stabilizer and sway bar in front.”
very reasonable price for a nice jeep, can’t build one for that price. I like that seller has put 11,000 miles on jeep, should be reliable. Rear bumber is very cool along with the rollbar defroster. Dave, it would make a good “Biscuit II”
Biscuit II will be a fiberglass CJ-3B, but I must rebuild Biscuit I first. I’m waiting for the temps to warm up a bit.
A buddy of mine bought this jeep and was asking me some things about the tub, the seller claims its a 47 2A..but 2 things make me think this is a early 70’s M38 pepop body from the Philippines. it has a large gas filler like a M38 but no battery box on the cowl. and there is no patch work done to fill it in. I know the early 2A’s had the tool cut outs like this does but things just don’t add up. any one have any ideas?
Troy,
I’m in agreement. It is a repop body. The lack of battery box is normally a key issue for detecting the repop body. MD Juan started out making the M-38ish body first, then began providing additional styles as they learned more about the market.
The early 2As had tool indents on the driver’s side, not the passenger side.
Nice jeep!
