I infer this is related to the CEO being imprisoned for war crimes? But it didn’t stop him from exporting other cars? I don’t remember many Nissan cars in the 60’s but I wasn’t on the coasts.
I believe Nissan first came to the US as Datsun (hiding the war criminal’s name, perhaps?). This one looks more like they copied Land Rover than Kaiser Willys, style-wise.
