a 3b with what looks like a 2a windshield…that’s kinda odd
Well, I’ve got a 2a sporting a 3b windshield and I’d be glad to trade this guy. How far is Turlock from Mesa? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen other Willys offerings from this seller, also military themed.
Looks like an MB windshield frame. They are lower than 2A frames. Really close to 3B height.
The windshield appears to be cut and modified unless it is a very early one and they were shorter. Also has M151 rims and the offset is wrong and brings the wheels too far inboard.
Agreed, it could be one of the early frames. Note how the bottom bar goes straight across and an added gusset creates the roundness to shape to the cowl. Here’s a good reference:
