UPDATE: Thanks for all the well wishes. We had a wonderful evening! Next updates are Monday morning. I also picked up my T-18 from Daryl (thanks) and some assorted parts to help complete the drive train.

Saturday was my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!!
We’ve traveled to the Seattle area to spend the weekend with family to celebrate, so eWillys will be a little disrupted until Monday morning’s posts. During our trip from Pasco to Seattle we detoured north to Wenatchee to pick up my great aunt. While there, we spotted a couple vintage jeeps (photos I’ll share on Monday). We even discovered (via the web) a “Jeepers It’s Bagels” Bagelry, which apparently has nothing to do with jeeps. Unfortunately, it will be closed by the time we arrive back in Wenatchee on Sunday to investigate.
Congrats to your parents on their Golden Anniversary! We celebrated my parents 50th up in your area, coincidentally (2010). We took a Puget Sound tour before, a Duck Boat tour after, and for the actual event went on a 7-day Norwegian Cruise to Alaska. What a great time.
Add another Congratulations from me…
Those were some good days indeed..
My first marriage was also in 1963! (November)
May there be many more.
My Mom says the first 50 years are the hardest…. congratulations from the
goddess and me.
Dave-
Please pass on our congratulations to our Mom and Dad on their 50th wedding anniversary! 50 years ago this weekend, I was at the Grand Canyon to help my best friend get married. It didn’t last as long as your folk’s marriage has!
Like Joe in Mesa, we were also in the Seattle area in June of 2010, took the tours and a Norwegian cruise to Alaska and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to your fair state…much greener than Arizona for sure!
Have a great weekend with your family, and let eWillys go for a couple of days! We will survive somehow!
God Bless! there are lessons there for all of us to learn! this is truly a blessing from above in many ways! the best to all of you, Dave
Thanks for all the good wishes. It is amazing how quickly 50 years goes by. The right person helps a lot and my willingness to take all blame for problems, always pleasant, always wanting to compromise, always well put together when I get up in the morning and a very engaging personality. Karl is, indeed, fortunate to have me for his wife. 😉 The only downer was we were on the top of a high hill with an unobstructed view of Bellevue, Lake Washington, Seattle, Puget Sound and the Olympic mountain range and we were socked in by fog. Had put in an early request for clear skies. Oh well…
Happy Anniversary Karl and Marge! Congrats!
