This might be worth a look.
“This was rebuilt about 20 years ago and has been kept in a garage. My father-in-law used to run it around the neighborhood for fun. Front tires are dry rotted and the brakes need work. Engine runs great and the rest is in good mechanical state. Has some rust spots and will need some work. Call 412-655-9793.”
Nice lookin’ Rig…
And I mean NO disrespect to the owner with my comments….this just happens to be a good example of what bugs me when I see ads for neat stuff.
I will never understand why people posting pictures when selling vehicles don’t bother to air up the tires. It just totally turns me off.
And while not in these pictures, other things like not cleaning the crap off the floors, wiring hanging down, or not even cleaning just amaze me.
Again, not picking on this particular owner, and if my post is not considered proper here, please feel free to delete it.
(I still would, however, follow up on this add if I was looking for a nice CJ-3B)
And good luck to the seller !
I think you make some valid points. I think some sellers are just harried and can’t find or make the time to ready their vehicle (or house or whatever) they have for sale.
no tool box under seat. front fenders are not original. pig in a poke
Tom, this one caught my eye but your comment gave me pause. What makes you think the fenders are not original? Do you see anything else concerning? I’m looking for my first willys. Thanks.
skeet;
the owner told me that. if you look, you can see patches on the bottom side. diamond plate in back you don’t see owner told me. seems to me to be a body frankenstein. who knows what else. stay away from this one
I went and saw in person. Has some bondo body work right over rust spot. Diamond plating added on floor and other tub parts. More rust than the images show. Rear brake line is shot. Two tires are dry rotted and entire undercarriage has been tarred, hiding any run it may have. It does run though and includes a plow, not shown. Passenger box removed for hydraulics for the plow.
Needs fully stripped. Too much is hidden by shotty body work and the tar. So not a job for me, but someone with more time could turn this one around. Closer to $2000.

Thanks for the report Kevin.
