UPDATE: I might be wrong about the overdrive. On closer look, one of the knobs connects to a rod that disappears under the dash. Brian spotted that.

One shifter knob looks like it comes from under the dash.
Great point! I’ve updated the post with the info. I’ve never seen that done.
You don’t see many pictures taken in a downpour…….
I would say that this knob is for the Hi-lo hydraulic jeep pump that drive the snow plow.
