1947 CJ-2A Peoria, IL *SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1300

This has a rear PTO.

“Bought this as a project but finances wont let me complete it. It has the flat head engine which i got running, but it smokes. Frame has been sandblasted and painted with POR15. Transmission has been rebuilt. No windshield. Body is typical for a 1947. This is a restoration and would have to be towed on a trailer. It has a rear PTO. Will not part out, wanting to sell to someone who loves these old jeeps and will finish it. I paid 1000 for it and have sunk some money into it to get it running. Asking 1300 or best offer.”

Larry if you click on the link in Dave’s post it will take you to the original Craigslist ad. Like most Craigslist ads, you need to reply to a linked mailbox to get a reply from the seller.

Or send an email to d6jwp-4056387320@sale.craigslist.org from your own email program. Just make it obvious you are not a spammer by asking questions specific to that jeep. (IE if you ask ” Is the item still available” you will be asking the same question many of the scammers use to introduce themselves. Instead ask if the 2A is still available and where and when could you come to look at it…) Good luck!

The owner did contact me this afternoon and I am planning to go see it this Saturday. The owner appeared very honest about the work he has done to the unit as well as the work that needs to be done. Owner says body is rough even though you can’t see it in the picture. He has many additional parts that he has purchased that are still boxed up.

Larry, if you are interested, go for it. My wife pulled my man-card and said this wasn’t going to happen. Good luck, I hope someone gets this project to complete.
