Pics and description from 2014:
“1960 JEEP WILLYS 4X4 ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD LIKE THIS. BODY IS HAND BUILT FROM MAPLE AND CHERRY 1” THICK GLUED AND SCREWED EVERY 4 INCHES 10 COATS OF SPAR VARNISH. TITLED AND STREET LEGAL. A MUST SEE.”
Paul, when are you starting one of these ??
Marc, I’m more of a metal guy. These wooden Jeeps seem to be popular with splinter groups and other branches of the Jeep family tree.
“OH MY GOD!!!! THOSE AREN’T ANTS!!!!! THEY’RE TERMITES!!!!! PARK THIS THING!!!!!!”
😉
DON’T bring this jeep to a bonfire
It looks kinda cool but I’ll bet those seats are just hell on your rear end!
This is a sign of a man who had WAY to much time on his hands. It is beautiful with alot of craftsmanship
What are those specks on the hood, termites or carpenter ants?
This gentleman is a real craftsman, I would feel proud to have those skills. I guess you could maybe compare it to the skills people had hand forming the bodies of cars before in a way, although I personally think metal forming would be harder, still this is talent non the less.👍🙂
I would think that with this Jeep, you don’t wax it, you Thomson water seal it.
