Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Several people sent me a link to the Hemmings article. The seller is claiming the jeep was a crate jeep. The notes by the folks that commented underscore my feelings.

Have a look at the photo of the front view….something is not lining up so well.
Missing a lot of knicknacks, i.e., hip pads, footman loops, snaps for the halfdoor canvas. I am also suspecting a CJ motor,not sure.
