Anyone know the history behind this wild rig? This auction ends soon.
“This auction is for SIX original, vintage c.1950 B/W film photo negatives showing trailer Jeep. The negative was converted to positive to see the image.Enlarged at a scan for better viewing. As shown at a scans. Please see DETAILED scans for condition”
drivers seat is a folding chair. Didn’t know paper towels came on a roll in 1950.
Surely executing a tight turn and this beast would be somewhat unstable and want to fall over with such wide body narrow front. None the less interesting.
Another thought, maybe this where the other jeep owners got their folding chair ideas from.
That looks like the most dangerous motor home on the planet!
I am curious as to what the powerplant is in this? And if it actually could move on the road. Obviously alot of work in this.

Just a guess, but the rear wheels were just the original trailer non driving trailer axle and the Jeep provided front wheel (only) drive to make it move? Let’s hope the rear brakes are hooked up and he had a better than a 10 gallon fuel tank..
I was thinking the same thing about the front wheel drive.
It’s a Jamper!
I’m selling the boat, I want one! 😉
What would make the builder think this conglomeration would be a good idea? Who built this thing….Murphy Coachworks?
I am not sure what to say……Wow! , Is that really? What were they? Look at the…..
Nice pictures anyways and what is with the folding chairs lately.
