“I bought this GPW for the original top bows that it had and because she is a driver.  I will provide a bill of sale only, no title.  Due to that fact, I’m selling it as a parts jeep.  I planned to part it out but have decided to sell it as is since she’s a runner and I’m sure the right person can enjoy it for what it is.   If I don’t sell it I will use it around my property to move stuff around.  It appears to be a radio jeep due to four mounting holes on the fender well in the rear driver side by the tool box.   It also appears to have had a machine gun due to the four holes on the floor where the machine gun mount on the frame is.  The frame is decent with vin that matches the glove box. Engine is an MB engine.  Original paint can be seen where the civilian paint has been pressure washed off in many places.  The early windshield in the picture was removed but I have another early windshield with brass latches that will be included.   It will however need some repair.

Rear frame is good but the front has been butchered. The drive train is correct including the correct early rear axle housing, T84 transmission and correct Transfer case,. The body is pretty rough and rusted through but the cowl is excellent with almost all original paint.  Believe it or not she is a driver but no brakes.  She starts and drives but smokes.   She still has all five combat wheels including spare tire carrier.   All grab Handles and top bow brackets are there but it looks like some are MB.   No fuel filter or air cleaner but has a sparton with pitting.  Many good parts still on the jeep such as the early style voltage regulator, two script front seat (passenger can be saved but driver side will need new bottom pan), five combat wheels, correct early axle housings, lots of F bolts, sparton horn, headlight buckets, grill, four correct gauges including the speedometer, GPW radiator etc.  The original hood number was also uncovered after pressure washing.  The hood is also in excellent condition with most of the original paint still on the underside.  If the tub wasn’t so bad the original paint can easily be recovered.  As you can see in the pictures of the dash, hood, fenders, grill head light the original paint was visible just by pressure washing the jeep.  Please look at the pictures and ask all questions before bidding.  It is sold as is.
