Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000
The seller calls this a CJ-2A, but I think this is more likely a GPW chassis.
“This 1945 CJ2A Willys Jeep frame/chassis is a complete running gear less engine. It comes with a Title and ID # CPW271063. As you can see in the pics, it has a tow bar for easy transport. Come on by and take look. I’m in the heart of old downtown Glendale.”
Definitely a GPW frame: it has that front frame characteristic Ford cross member (not the Willy’s round tube), the machine gun mounting plate, and I’d bet the “CPW” frame serial number was really “GPW”.
