UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
This is one of a limited edition of bronze sculptures featuring the jeep at a military checkpoint. Read this article for more information. http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1893&dat=19880717&id=ncFQAAAAIBAJ&sjid=PccMAAAAIBAJ&pg=2512,1973525
“Up for auction is a RARE Limited Edition patinated bronze sculpture manufactured by Don Sommer’s American Arrow Corporation. The bronze “CHECKPOINT” is a limited edition sculpture released by Chrysler Corporation in 1988 of the 1941 military Army JEEP. The bottom reads “SERIES 3 #0722″ made in USA by the American Arrow Corp. It looks as though it is signed on the top right base but I can’t make out the name. The base is about 10 x 6.5 inches and the Jeep itself is about 5.5 inches long. The JEEP (MB5 ?) and the soldiers are nicely detailed. This is very heavy, approximately 6 pounds. This sculpture is RARE and is in very good used condition!”
Does anyone know the value of this item? Or thee other two in the series?
Hi Eddie,
One was listed on eBay this past July. The starting price was $13.00. It never got any bids. I’m guessing they aren’t very valuable.

I’ve seen one on a site a few days ago going for up to 600.00. It’s the one titled “What’s Your Hurry” seller states it’s very rare.
Was that the asking price or a bid price? I haven’t seen enough of these to have a feel for their value.
I was speaking to a gentleman earlier who is asking 599.00 for the “Whats Your Hurry” model. He’s seen them go for $1000.00 at an antique auction.
