Ok, it’s a stretch, in celebration of Thanksgiving I thought I’d post a few Turkey and jeep pics.
1. This CJ-3B was part of a 2008 parade in Turkey. You can see more vehicles here: http://www.military-vehicle-photos.com/picture/number9536.asp
2. Down at the Shonto Ranch in Kerrville, TX, you can shoot your own turkeys for Thanksgiving in a Zebra Jeep: http://www.shontohunting.com/content/zebra-jeep-camera-safari
Ha! I’ve been in the market for a restored military MB/GPW that I can drive around town. I’ve got this fantastic mechanic, a Turkish guy who can fix anything and is reasonable (not an easy find in So Cal). Before I bought my Jeep, I went down to his shop to see if he was familiar with vintage Jeeps. When I asked him if he had worked on the flatfenders, he got really animated. It seems he learned how to be a mechanic in the Turkish army and all he worked on was old GPW/MBs and loves them. What a happy coincidence! This pic just reminded me of that story. 😉
That’s a good story 🙂
