The seller notes this was purchased a few days ago for over $10,000. The grill and bumper aren’t original, but the rest looks solid. The paint on the dash appears a little rough.

“serial #176801 This Jeep was manufactured in by Ford February of 1944 using the Willy’s-Overland design. The vehicle has been nicely restored and wears fresh paint including “USMC / 58282” . The engine runs strong and the electrical system has been converted to 12 volt. The frame shows no evidence of being welded and seems very sound. The headlights along with the fuel, speed, amp and temperature gauges all function properly. The tires are all excellent and the vehicle comes with a spare tire, gas can, GI ammo crate, shovel and axe. It is currently registered as an antique vehicle in the state of Maine. This true classic represents one of the very first Jeeps made in the first three years of production and before a civilian version was even developed.
