UPDATE: Price dropped to $7500
I’ve spent some time in Arnold. It’s a pretty area. The jeep looks nice, too. It’s got a body lift and a grille & windshield from a M-38. This lacks a tailgate, which makes me wonder if the body is a DJ body (note the lack of a side fuel inlet).
“This is the probably the cleanest 1946 CJ2A you will see. It is painted in Pearl Orange with only a few minor chips that you really have to look for. This Willys has a Buick 225 Odd Fire which runs clean and installed as a rebuild last year.
The transmission is a SM465 with an Advanced Adapters kit between the motor and the Dana 18 Transfer case. The rear axle is a Dana 44 (upgraded from the Dana 41) with 5:38 / 1 gearing, while the front axle is a Dana 27 with matching gear ratios. The hubs are Warn Premium hubs and there is a Warn All Range overdrive also installed.
The Tires are 30″ Super Swampers that are brand new, and they are considerably taller than a traditional 30″ tires. Rims are Black Steel.
This Jeep also has the 10.5″ Clutch and upgraded 9″ brakes. There is a tow bar (not shown) that is included. I am even including the custom axe which is bolted to the roll bar and matches the paint. Fire Extinguishers and two Jerry cans also included.
I had a custom top made for the Jeep that extends all of the way to the back of the custom full roll cage.
There are several more improvements done to this Jeep. Everything is interior is clean, with nice gauges and a locking console. The seats are complete with seat belts.
I’m hoping to trade this Jeep for a CJ7, Nice Jeepster, or Bronco since my family has outgrown this Jeep. I’m not in a hurry to sell, so I’m not looking for anything that leaks a ton of oil, will leave you stranded, or needs too much work. I will sell outright for $8,000.00 but hoping to trade. ”
