UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Be on the look out for a can of black spray paint gone wild.
“THIS IS A GOOD CONDITION 1955 WILLYS HIGH HOOD JEEP. SERIAL NUMBER 57348 I AM NOT SURE IF IT WAS EVER MILITARY OR NOT, PROBABLY NOT. THE JEEP RUNS AND DRIVES STRONG AND SMOOTH. NO SMOKE OR DRIVE TRAIN NOISE. I HAVE NOT SERVICED THE DRIVE TRAIN AND IT IS STILL ONE OF THE QUIETEST I HAVE DRIVEN. YOU WILL NEED TO SERVICE ALL THE RUNNING GEAR BEFORE YOU DRIVE IT ANY DISTANCE. WHAT I HAVE DONE IS REBUILT CARB, NEW BATTERY, NEW PLUGS, NEW MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE LINES. FRESH CAMO PAINT. NEW SEAT CUSHIONS FOR ITS AGE THE JEEP IS IN GOOD CONDITION . KEEP IN MIND ,THIS WAS A FRAME ON RESTORATION SO I CAN SELL AT THIS LOW PRICE . THE JEEP WILL BE SOLD WITH BILL OF SALE NO TITLE. I MAKE NO OTHER CLAIMS OR GUARANTEES.”
The rear of the body and the wheel wells have been extensively modified, the frame has scab patches weld to it and chunks of wood space the body off the frame and this is called a “frame on restoration”? This is a pile of crap quickly painted to make it look like it has some value in hopes of inflating its sale price. Inspect the pictures on ebay and you’ll be amazed at the hack repairs done to this poor Jeep.
This makes my soul hurt!
