I think this is closer to WW2 than the 1950’s. Due to material shortages during that war a lot of wooden toys and toy “kits” were the norm. If this was from the 50’s it would more likely be plastic and not wood.

I guess the price of wood has gone up? I’ll be posting two cool plastic model kits late tonight with similar prices.
I would get it just to copy the parts and sell new kits ( or give away? ). π
