Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $29,000. It appears to have a column shift.
“This 1946 Willys Jeep, Ser. # 13241 has been totally restored to new condition and I have the old parts. It has no miles, I have taken to shows on a trailer. I am 78 and get my kicks from building/restoring, not driving. I will sell or trade for a newer model Wrangler or Rubicon, V/6, auto with low miles of like value.”
My Jeep shown here has original tub with tool indents. It is original column shift. This post war jeep was mfg. with nearly all MB parts left from 1945 war production inventories. The engine casting is stamped 45. The jeep is 99% new.
