This looks in good shape. Given how dry it is here, I suspect the metal under that diamond plate is in good condition (if it was added after the red paint).

Ive asked this question before and never got an answer. I still see northwest jeeps with these rocker guards. are they still available, I remember seeing them advertised by some northwest outfit 50 yrs ago!?

    Hi Steve,

I’m sorry if I missed your question earlier.
I have not seen a new or used set of these for sale. The only ones I’ve seen are already on jeeps. I know these were available in the late 1970s. I don’t know how much later than that they were still available.

I bet someone up here in the PNW has a set stored away. If I see a set come up for sale, I’ll let you know. I can also ask readers if they know of any.

    Are they one piece?
    They sure look like it.
If so, that’s pretty clever fabrication.

A friend restores antique aircraft, he often uses a piece of thin card (like a cereal box, not correlated cardboard) to make a template or prototype.
Once you do that, there are several places to get the metal bent….car custom shops, fabrication shops, and if you think outside the box perhaps a sheet metal shop that does air ducts. Another source would be an aviation trade school (many community colleges have them).
Of course the thick diamond plate material might complicate things.
