Barney shared this lefty. Note the plaid half-seat. I believe this is home made; at least, I’ve not seen one quite like this (one of the black and white pics in the ad partly shows it installed).

“This Willy’s had quite a few improvements done in 2017 then it was put into storage until this year. The improvements included: new tires, new top & doors, mew brakes & wheel cylinders, rebuilt master cylinder, new steel and rubber brake lines, new front inner & outer wheel bearings, new muffler & exhaust pipe, new ignition switch, new fuel gauge & sender unit, new spark plugs & wires, & new shifter boot. In 2024 a new battery was installed and a lube oil and filter change was preformed. Compression checked good on all cylinders.

This Willys was bought in Los Angeles in 1952 and spent its whole life in Santa Barbara County. It was used in the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s for deer hunting. It is affectionately called “GUS” -see license plate. It comes with the original center seat & and original top & doors assembly-see picture. 55081 miles. Converted to 12 volts. It shifts properly in both high & low range. Some play in the steering as most of these old Willys have. We were told that on a couple of occasions Gus pulled out newer V6/V8 Jeeps that were stuck. The guns shown in its rack & on the dash are old black powder rifles used for display in parades. Only rust we see is on the right step area (see picture). Your chance to own a piece of hunting history! Current registration & Calif. title in hand.”
