“1951 M38 Willys Jeep 24 Volt and M100 Trailer. New fuel tank, lines, and gauge. Rebuilt carburetor. New spark plugs and wires, NOS coil, distributor. Rebuilt starter. Reupholstered the front seat with extra material for the rear seats. The engine was rebuilt in 1995 with 28,131 miles on the odometer and current mileage 37,960. The rear #4 cylinder(closet to the firewall) is at 75psi on the first pass, then up over 100psi on the 2nd pass. The mechanic believes it could be a simple valve adjustement or ring replacement. The previous owner and i have kept all repair records. The previous owner mentioned that this M38 was in the Korean theater. Clean title on both. I have extra parts and technical manuals”
REBAR SHIFTERS, now thanks something I’ve never seen before,
Mike, I don’t think that’s rebar. That looks like Boatswain’s cord which would make sense considering the theme of the Jeep.
Oh, for heavens sake, thanks for pointing that out Dave, now that makes sense.
