“Dressed in white with red trim, this Jeepster cuts a clean, classic look from its six-bar grille to its narrow taillights. The bodywork is straight and solid, the engine bay is extremely tidy, the cargo area is clean with a spray-on liner and the chrome bumpers fit tightly to the body. There is new weatherstripping, a full-size spare tire and wheel in the forward end of the cargo bay, just aft of the cab.
This Jeepster has new Kumho RoadVenture AT51 light truck tires, size 215/75R15 at every corner. Each tire is mounted on a steel wheel with original wheel covers. The tires are in very good order while the wheel covers look great! Speedo/odo are inop. This Jeepster rides a 101-inch wheelbase and has a 4,200 GVWR.
Under the double latched hood is the optional Dauntless V-6. At 225 CID. Which has been built according to the prior owner. It’s the engine General Motors sold to Kaiser-Jeep in 1965 and it has a much heavier flywheel to mask vibrations from the engine’s firing pattern. When Jeep was sold to AMC, the engine tooling remained with the company until 1974. Backing this engine is a three-speed manual transmission with a two-speed Dana 20 transfer case, Warn manual front locking hubs and a 3.73:1 rear end. In front is a Spicer Model 27 axle with a Spicer Model 30 axle out back.
Inside, the refurbished interior is as spartan as one would expect from a late 1960s Jeep. A pair of newly reupolstered black bucket seats are in excellent overall shape with a black floormat beneath and separate floormats for driver and passenger. The headliner is in fine order, as is the aftermarket, three-spoke steering wheel. The white, metal dashboard with black top is in very good condition, as are the white doors. Floor-mounted shift and transfer case levers help complete the interior.”
I’d trade both my 52 & 77 Jeeps for this Jeepster.
