UPDATE: Barney nots that this may be the original paint color. That makes me happier!
This was the first chance I had at getting an Al-Toy truck, so I snagged it off ebay in the last few seconds. It seems pretty original, other than the phone number on the side. The truck has a great weight and is slightly longer than the jeeps.
Here it is pictured with my 2 CJ-2A Al-Toys:
Nice find, the paint job gives it a nice vintage look,
Congrats Dave. I agree with Mike. But I’ll take it a step further. That looks like original paint on top of primer, otherwise everything would have been unriveted and separated including tailgate and axles to do as thorough a paint as I’m seeing.
Thanks .. Oh .. I think I am wrong about the paint. I thought that given the writing on the side that maybe someone added a layer of paint (given the peeling). That’s why it’s good to have smarter people than I around 🙂

Did some searching back in my archives and found a photo of Glenn Byron’s Hershey table from a few years back and one of the photos shows a green Al-Toy pickup, and there have been a few that have showed up in the green color, so I believe the green color is original to this truck.
