Bill shared this customized DJ-5 with a Ford Model A feel. Even stranger, it has two steering wheels! It is weirdly awesome!

“If the posting is active then YES, IT IS STILL FOR SALE……. If you only ask that, then I will respond with “NO”. Ex-Postal jeep converted to a Ford Model A type vehicle. It is two wheel drive and has the inline 6 motor with an automatic transmission. The motor is currently stuck from sitting. IT IS NOT RUNNING. Yes it has two steering wheels. It’s a Left hand drive car. The right side steering wheel is not connected to anything. It is in rough shape but has good bones and would be a fun project. I picked it up as a cool project car and I don’t have time to work on it. I have oiled cylinders with marvel oil and have not tried to turn it over since. NO TITLE BILL OF SALE ONLY.”
This has to be the MOST UNIQUE Jeep creation I have ever seen, I like it, not very functional, but lots of fun for sure.
Just as a P/S, some of the postal DJ5A’s had dual steering to use when new hires were out on road tests, required to get used to RHD. Dual steering equipped like many driving school cars of that era, a supervisor could correct mistakes. Mostly a safety issue.
That thing is very cool. I like when people do odd modifications to them.
Like those ’35 Ford 16″ Spokers and they are a direct bolt-on. Great Idea!! One of you Left Coast Willys Nuts needs this.
