Andy spotted this truck project with a dump bed.
“Willeys pickup solid steel dump bed. Truck doesn’t run but motor turns, hydraulic lift works. Restore or put that dump bed on your truck. Original straight 6 engine and drive train. Bring a trailer”
Just a curious question, does the hydraulic dump run off a HY-Lo pump that runs off the engine? If so how would the seller know the dump works if the engine doesn’t run?

I don’t know how the above dump bed works, but here is an example of a truck that has an electric motor that powers the hydraulic bed: https://www.4-the-love-of-jeeps.com/wow-my-61-willys-dump-bed-pickup-runs.html … so maybe all that’s needed is electricity to power the dump bed?
Dave, thanks, never thought of that. Morris Golden had a 54 Willys dump for sale, sold it to one of my neighbors back in NJ. No plow, I always wondered how it worked, this may have been the answer.
