   One way to determine quickly if it’s a 45 or 46 ask the seller if the frame tag is inboard or outboard on right front frame rail under gusset. Inboard it’s a 45. It wouldn’t take much effort or parts to make it correct for year. Nice jeep , reasonable price.

   I notice that it does not have an oil filter. My 48’ I bought last year did not have a filter either. Was it a option on some or do you believe it was just removed for one reason or another?

   Either is possible as the oil filter was an option. Perhaps it would have been in the way of that alternator and he knew it was of limited use.

   This Jeep has been sold. After sending a message on Facebook and getting no response, I tracked down the seller’s phone number about a month ago. He confirmed it was gone. I don’t know why he doesn’t take the ad down.
