Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. With the back filled in, no tailgate, it would be quite difficult to ” change back to military”
I agree that turning this back into a stock GPW would not be an easy task. That said, the standard GPW and MB bodies had solid backs like the jeep above and didn’t have tailgates.
