Offered for sale, 1960 Willys DJ3A Surrey 2WD- Serial #18201. This 61 year old collector’s item jeep has been sitting in a warehouse protected from the elements for the past 35 years. This jeep is virtually unmolested from its humble beginnings. Odometer shows 26,000 original miles. Somewhere along its life the front floor pans were reinforced due to hat channel rust-out and some bondo on driver side panel. . Jeep was originally two tone Tropical Rose and Coral Mist, seems to have been over sprayed in coral mist pink and the striped top was replaced at some point with what is currently on it.

This collector desirable and rare jeep (only 200 Pink Surreys out 1100 Surreys made from 1959 to 1964) is as complete as they get and would serve as a great restoration candidate. Many of the often removed parts are still present and intact as they were originally. Since all the original parts are there a restorer will only need to buy new canvas, tires, and do minimal repair on body/floor pans, and repaint. (Restored these are worth over $50K)
Engine runs great, drives and operates as it should. Original carb, electrics, period correct orig. type dry element air cleaner, period correct hub caps, original seats and seat coverings. Previous owner updated entire brake system. Has incorrect tires on the 4 original 15” four lug rims on the vehicle, spare is all original including the tire and hub cap.
A great price at $20,000 but negotiable as well – don’t miss a once in a lifetime opportunity to grab a piece of American Jeep automotive history. Bill of sale only.

It looks pretty complete although the cost of replacing the fabric inside and out is going to be very high. If you have the full Surrey hubcaps, that is a plus. Most of the restored Surreys I have seen will go for about $30-40K range these days.. Yours is a good start.
I have 1960 Surrey 19170 in Cerulean Blue and White.
I think a little hopeful on the price, but a pretty good start. I’d say 30-40K is about right for a super nice and perfect one.
It is very complete looking, but you will get to $25,000 in a hurry doing a complete restoration. Floor Pans, Hat Channels, Paint, Chrome, Top and Interior and on and on.
Hey Steve – Do you know what size tires you were running with? Picking up a DJ3A with four lugs and would love to get these same hub caps.
