“I have a 1946 Jeep willys for sale. As you can see from the pictures the front end it taken off since I pulled the motor that it came with and was going to replace it with a Buick 3.8. Jeep is in great shape for how old it is. Everything you need to get it back together is all there. Floor needs repair in one spot. I was going to do a brand new tub but decided not to. Frame is immaculate. Comes with a 3.8 turbo Buick. No rush to sell. Negotiable”
Yip Yip Yaphank! Quite a history of this town…Camp Upton where Irving Berlin was stationed and wrote his broadway musical about his experiences…incarcerated Japanese-Americans during WWII…and, a Nazi ‘bund’ community just before the war….
Craig, thanks for that history. I’d never heard of the town.
Now home to Brookhaven National Laboratory and a heavy iron collider.
Seller wants 2200
Thanks for the update Steve.
I wanted to look at this Jeep a few months ago (running but needed tlc), it was sold to the present owner. Original seller wanted 3k. Spoke to the seller needs motor and “body work”. Didn’t get a good vibe via messaging from the seller, so I didn’t pursue.
