I never understood why these memories (Slides) of family members turn up for sale on eBay. Obviously, family members cleaning out the house of a deceased loved one. How loved could they have been if you’re cashing in on their image? I treasure the Kodak 35mm slides & 8mm film my Uncle Joe took back in the 1950’s, I have converted all of them to digital so the memories will last forever. I realize this is off topic, but felt it needed to be said, a sad statement on today’s material world. Madonna was way ahead of her time with her 80’s hit song, “I am a material girl living in a material world”.
Wish there was a way to find out if this Surrey still exists. Several made it to the continental US after serving their purpose in Hawaii.
