UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,000.
Runs and drives.
“Posting for a friend. He’s selling his Rare 1974 jeep CJ 6. It has the 258 inline 6 that runs like a top. 3spd manual. Has dana 30 front axles and Dana 44 in the rear with limit slip. It is in very restore able shape or to be customized. Has 85584 original miles on it. New fuel tank and fairly new tires mounted on the orignal wheels radiator was replaced about a year ago. New windshield also. He’s asking 10k.”
I’m glad to say that this one is sold. I bought it this spring time. The 4.2 does run like a top, but there were several issues with it. Body mounts are gone and it needed some brake work. But the worst part was that sheet of plywood in the rear, was hiding several holes cut into the floor to get at the Fuel sending unit and or, dropping the old tank out. Buyer did send several additional pictures, but never disclosed that issue. But it does run good and has little rust.
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the update; I’ve updated the post. Sorry to hear about the holes under the plywood. That is a very unpleasant discovery and pretty shitty all around.
I hope you are enjoying the jeep nonetheless! Best of luck with it,
– Dave
