UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.
(08/16/2020) This may well be a 1945 2A. Someone switched out the column shift and it an incorrect dash plate.
“Early 1945 cj2a runs and drives don’t have the time to put into it good restoration project message for more info”
Looks good……Don’t think those ‘Manual’ wipers belong there neither
Indeed they don’t belong there. Someone once told me that CJ-2As didn’t come with wipers, but the early Willys-Overland new-jeep holding lot photos I’ve seen show them all with wipers (connected to the top of the windshield of course).
I purchased this Jeep on December 12th, 2020 (One of the best part’s of the year if you ask me lol) The wipers were not original to the jeep, neither were the seats (Which came out of a Mustang. They mounted them onto original Jeep Seat Frames that sadly couldn’t be saved). This jeep is the 1319th made in 1945, and i am currently restoring it back to as close to Factory as i can, including bringing it back to Pasture Green with Autumn Yellow wheels.
Congrats on your find and thanks for letting us know. I’ll update the post.
Good luck on bringing it back.
