This looks like a nice restoration.

“I’m selling for a friend. It is a 1955 M38A1 military Jeep. He has military tires and several additional parts he has accumulated during the restoration of the vehicle. Price is $15,000”
He appears to have the license plate number stenciled on the front bumper and and rear bumperette. I wonder if that is legal in Ohio for historical vehicles.
Ohio is a very friendly classic car state. Yes, under the “D” section or the Ohio ORC if the vehicle was originally manufactured as a military vehicle, you can stencil your Ohio Historic License plate # on similar in style to military lettering. We recommend carrying a copy of the law with you as some officers are not versed in it. This law was brought to the legislature by a representative who was a member of the MVPA. The quality of the stenciling looks like the work of Rick Larsen Stencils.
D section of the classic car licensing chapter. Under C you can register vintage period plates for your classic car.
Thanks Barney, Good to know!!
