UPDATE: This is listed as a ’72, but has the pre-72 fenders. Lots of mods on this CJ-5 hunting jeep. Keith indicates its a 1970.

Looks like a early 1971 ?
Clem, good point. Indeed, it does have the earlier fenders. It might be a ’71 sold in ’72?
It’s a 69. One year only for the hood reflectors and position of the back up lights. Also, while the early 69s did have an one year only rectangle glass windshield with external wiper motor, this would have had to be a very early 69 to have vacuum wipers as shown. Not a 70 as end of 69 models began the rear gas tank and elevated the back up lights to accommodate it. This also shows how many mid year changes were taking place in the early AMC years. These years had multiple changes throughout the model year: 69, 72 and 76. For sure this one’s not titled correctly.
Thanks Barney!
Hi! do you have information on this 2 curves Tranny habdle? is it a late 60″s detail? Regards
Marcelo, that looks customized to me.
This is a 1970. They didn’t change to rear tank until April of 1970. Hood reflectors were not deleted until late December of 69, 70 model. Flanged axle wasn’t available until 1970. Looks to have choke and throttle controls, only available with 4 cylinder. Keith
Thanks Keith.
