The negative of this below image was spotted by Steve. I wonder if the handling felt odd when the tank was full?

“Original one-of-a-kind amateur 2 1/4″ square negative. Excellent condition. The listing image was created using PhotoShop to make a positive digital image. I did very little adjusting; you should be able to produce a much better print/image than the one shown in this listing.”
Good point Dave!Someone sure went to a lot of work to relocate the tank!Looks like the only seat is for the driver. If only Jeeps could tell there life story!
It’s a precursor to the Ford Pinto
Tate that is funny,I had one of those also.
I drove two different Pintos in the early 1980s. I was also rear-ended in one. We had less than a quarter of a tank of gas, so none of the gas spilled out of the inlet tube (which became separated) and drained onto the tail pipe (a terrible design idea to have the tank inlet right above the exhaust pipe). Had we had a full tank of gas, I don’t know what would have happened.
